Heritage Properties ("we," "us") is a real estate brokerage in Yreka, California, and runs siskiyouheritageproperties.com. We respect your privacy. We do not sell your personal information, and we only use it to serve you.

This policy explains what we collect when you visit our website, fill out a form, or email us, and what we do with it. By using the site, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill out a contact form, ask about a property, request a showing, or email us, we collect what you choose to share. That can include:

• Your name, email address, phone number and mailing address
• Property addresses and details about a purchase, sale or transaction
• Documents you send us, such as contracts and disclosures
• Anything else you include in a message

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours collects basic technical information when you visit. This includes your browser type, device, general location, the pages you view and how you arrived at the site. Our website platform and analytics tools collect this through cookies and similar technology.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• Answer your questions and respond to your requests
• Provide the real estate services you ask for
• Coordinate with the other parties to your transaction
• Send updates about your transaction, listings or market information you asked to receive
• Keep records required by real estate law

Email privacy

When you email us or give us your email address, we use it only to communicate with you about your inquiry or transaction. We do not sell, rent or share your email address with third parties for their marketing.

If we send you newsletters or updates, every message includes a way to unsubscribe. You can also ask to be removed at any time by emailing Office Management.

Email is not a fully secure way to send information. Please do not email bank account numbers, Social Security numbers or other sensitive financial details unless we have arranged a secure method together.

When we share information

We share personal information only when it's needed to serve you, or when the law requires it:

• Parties to your transaction, such as escrow and title companies, lenders, inspectors, and the other agents involved
• Our agents and office staff, who need it to help you
• Service providers that help us run our business, such as our website host, listing search provider, email, and e-signature and transaction platforms. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
• Legal requirements, when required by law, court order or a licensing authority, or to protect our rights or the safety of others

Cookies and analytics

Our site uses cookies to work properly and to measure traffic. We may also use analytics and advertising tools, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads or Meta, to understand visits and show relevant ads. Our property search pages are provided by a listing search service, which may set its own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well without them.

Our site links to other websites, such as MLS listing search pages, lenders and local resources. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies when you visit.

How long we keep information

We keep transaction records for as long as California real estate law requires, which is often several years. We keep other information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected.

How we protect information

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, including secure platforms for documents and signatures. No website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you marketing emails. Email Office Management and we will respond within a reasonable time. Some records must be kept by law even if you ask us to delete them.

California residents. Under California's "Shine the Light" law, you may ask once a year whether we shared your personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not share it for that purpose.

Do Not Track. Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common standard for responding to it, so our site does not currently respond to those signals.

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
