Glade Stebbins

I moved to Scott Valley in 1975 and spent most of my childhood there, except for a few years in the Bay Area during my teenage years. After high school I went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from California State University, Chico and then on to graduate school at CSUC and Chapman University. During the summers I was a wildland firefighter on an engine crew for the Forest Service and later worked for the Bureau of Land Management on a survey crew. I got to fly around in helicopters and get dropped off in some of the most remote and rugged country that few have seen. I also did a lot of hiking back then...

I have a background in construction as my Dad was a general contractor and I worked for him during high school and later after college. We did several land development projects together and once I became a Realtor I represented him on his spec building projects. I'm also a CA state licensed real estate Appraiser. I own and operate Siskiyou Appraisal Service, which keeps me busy traveling throughout Siskiyou County and keeps me up to date on the local market. I have been serving the real estate needs of Siskiyou County since 2000 and I'm somewhat 'old school' as you won't find me on Facebook, Instagram or Zillow with paid for or incentivized reviews.I've been in this business for 19 years and have relied on word of mouth and referrals from satisfied clients over the years.

If you're looking for someone to help you find a property to cultivate or for illicit activities- don't contact me. I have nothing against individual freedoms, in fact it's one of the reasons I live in Siskiyou County, but when it starts to affect the quality of life and my community then I take issue with it. It's not my thing and goes against many of the federal regulations that I must comply with as an Appraiser. Let's not waste each others time. I enjoy meeting clients from all walks of life, but if you're a politically correct radical we're probably not a good match either as the only snowflakes I prefer come from the sky. If you're looking to escape some of the madness from Southern California or if you're looking to sell and move to other parts of the country I can help you.

I believe Siskiyou County is one of the better places to live if you're staying in California and it's why I call it home where I live with my wife and our two boys. Over the past ten years I've helped coach youth baseball and was an assistant coach for the Etna High School wrestling team. I appreciate the rural and recreational lifestyle from hunting, fishing and outdoor pursuits that the "State of Jefferson" affords my family. If you're looking for a Realtor with a down-to-earth approach that will take care of you then please feel free to contact me. Thanks.
